Wondering when CSA starts?

We’re planning for the first week in June. If you got a half share – we’ll let you know (via email) if you start on the first week or second week of the CSA season. Then you’ll pick up every other week after. Please let me know sooner than later, if you have a preference between even and odd.

Farmers Markets are Starting Up!

Sundays at Squirrel Hill 9 -1 (Beacon and Bartlett)

We had our first farmers market of the season and it was a success! Despite a few hiccups with technology, we cranked out the P.I.G. like we were pros! We even sold out of our burgers just at the end of market. Evelyn is now old enough of focus on helping at the stand taking sandwich orders. Olivia helped deliver the burgers and dogs throughout the market!

It was so great to see the familiar and friendly faces coming back to our stand! Thanks for stopping by, grabbing a bite, and catching up on the farm antics! We’ll see you again next Sunday!

We start up at the Northside on the 26th!

Who said Co-Op?

Setting rumors to rest and catching up before the CSA season… we are hosting a potluck to reconnect with each other and talk about our ‘official’ co-op potential on the farm. Our recent work with Keystone Development Center and the CMU class: “Resilient and Sustainable Communities,” has given us some ideas to share about a possible evolution of Blackberry Meadows to increase community involvement.  Stop by for part or all of an informational potluck and community hangout on Memorial Sunday (May 28) from 3pm till 7pm to see what we’re up to for the next.
