Pittsburgh Style Kielbasa and Kraut
1- 12 oz. bottle of beer (blond or darker ale or lager)
3/4 to 1 cup dark brown sugar
3 pounds Kielbasa
2 jars sauerkraut, drained In a medium saucepan.
Warm the beer and brown sugar over low heat until sugar is melted and begins to simmer, for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Cut kielbasa and put in the bottom of your slow cooker. Add sauerkraut and pour in beer mixture. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
