The Menu

This week, you should get squash/zucchini, basil, cilantro, greens, scallions, yes, more garlic scapes, and hopefully beets.

Chickens are ready!

We had our monthly poultry processing at the end of last week. We bought our own plucker (we’d been generously lent one by some farming friends) and can now pluck 2 birds at once, and even turkey. This last batch of birds averaged out to 5.7 lbs each – so quite a bit heftier than the last batch… but that extra weight sure looks good on them! They have been updated in the online store as well.

Farm Camp is On!

Tomorrow is the first day of our very own Farm Camp! We’ve mowed the lawn, tidied up, put away sharp objects and brought in bins of watermelon for the pigs. The kids will have a blast chunckin’ melons into the pig yard. There’s also new peeps to cuddle, baby bunnies to oooh and ahh at, and garlic to harvest. We’ll wear these kids out, but they’re going to have fun learning some of the ins and outs of our farm as well as playing games and exploring.

We have room for two more kids for the 5 – 7 yr old range. This starts tomorrow – Monday the 19th. There’s still space for the older kids group 8-11 yrs old, and that starts next Monday the 26th. Stock Your Crock Sale

In an effort to make more room in our freezers – we created a package deal for the meat eaters in our midst.

For $90 you can get each of these:

Farm Stay-cations

We just went live on HipCamp! Not only can you stay in the farm house and get a taste of country living – you can now go “rustic” and stay in one of our canvas cabins! Check us out here on Hipcamp! Please help spread the word!

Online Social Media Stuff

Feel free to follow us in Instagram and Facebook for more alluring pictures of the farm! Please take time to leave us a review on google too! Especially if you’ve had one of our sammies at market. Getting the word out about our Notorious P.I.G. would be great! We need to drum up more business at the East Liberty Market (just off of N. Euclid Ave), so please tell your friends who live or work in East Liberty to come down and visit us on Mondays 3- 7 pm.
