  • Greg’s been busy digging holes and filling them back in! We have a beautiful spring head on our farm and the previous owners developed that spring as best they could 30 years ago. The time came for Greg to dig out the old structure, put in a new tank and fix the piping. Our spring is now up and running and flowing back to the pond again! It took a monumental amount of work shoveling wet clay, mud and cinder blocks out of a 5’x 5′ hole! For part of the project, Greg had the use of our tractor and back-hoe attachment. Unfortunately, the tractor bit the dust during the project and had to be hauled away for repairs. We’ll cross our fingers that it won’t break the bank…. besides our own backs and elbow grease, that tractor is a main piece of equipment on this farm and we really can’t do for long without it.

Thanks for the cards, gifts and love you all sent along for Evelyn’s birthday. It was perfect and she seemed to enjoy having her 10 year birthday celebration strung out for an extra week. Every day a couple of cards would come in the mail with birthday wishes. Thank you so much!
